The Textual Research on the Middle and Upper Ancient Shu Language Written by Professor Wang Qiming of Our College Won the First Prize of the 18th Wang Li linguistics Prize of Peking University.

On November 24, 2019, the 18th appraisal of Wang Li linguistics Award of Peking University came to a successful end. Professor Wang Qiming and Associate Professor Zhao Jing won the first prize in the book Textual Research on Middle and Upper Ancient Shu Language.


Wang Li Linguistics Prize of Peking University is the highest prize in the field of linguistics in China. Zhao Zhenduo, a teacher in the province, once won the first prize of it (won in 2013). This is the second time that Professor Wang Qiming of our college has won this award. Before that, the first prize was vacant for many years.


A total of 24 works recommended by experts and 7 series of papers were collected in this award. Finally, one first prize and five second prizes were selected.
