Our School Student Make an Academic Report on the Asian Network for Public Opinion Research Forum

Recently, Asian Network For Public Opinion Research (ANPOR) held in Seoul,Korea. Tian Xiangning, students from grade 2010 of Communication, participated in this meeting and deliver an academic report at the seminar.

As the only undergraduate student, her thesis “When Environmental Pollution Happens, How a Government Copes with Public Opinion” had been highly concerned by the organizers and participants. It was praised in a summary of the meeting and dinner repeatedly, and published by The Korean Association for Survey Research.

This thesis takes Guangxi Longjiang cadmium pollution incident as an example, analyzing the strategy of government in the process of environmental pollution. This is also included in academic monographs in Public Opinion Research Laboratory of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. On the meeting, Tian Xiangning made an oral report on the research methods, ideas, conclusions, recommendations, and participated in multiple academic lectures. She also communicated with experts from Asian countries.
