Freshmen entrance education is an important part of students' ideological and political education, which is of great significance to promote freshmen to adapt to the new life as soon as possible, complete the role change, and grow up smoothly. In order to do a good job in the enrollment education of 2020 undergraduate freshmen, the Party Committee of the College of Humanities attaches great importance to the implementation of the fundamental task of moral education. Based on the discipline characteristics of the college, emphasizing on "educating people with culture", the college comprehensively builds the enrollment education work for 2020 undergraduate freshmen.

1、 The Party and the government attach great importance to the coordination and rational planning.

The Party and government of the College of Humanities attach great importance to freshmen's education, and set up a freshmen's entrance education working group with the Secretary and President of the Party Committee as the group leader, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and the Secretary of the Youth League as the Deputy group leader, and all Counselors and class tutors as members. Through sorting out the important nodes, the enrollment education mode of "short-term emphasis on key content + long-term education" is constructed, and five major sectors of "summer network navigation", "service education for freshmen", "enrollment management education", "peer education for freshmen" and "long-term ideological and political education" are formed. The college has successively formulated a series of work plans, such as "2020 Summer Micro League Course", "Freshmen Orientation Work Plan (2020)", "Peer Education System (2020)", "Chengjin Engineering Student Leader Training Course (2020)", "Freshmen Culture Festival (2020)", "Freshmen Lecture (2020)", so as to create a group of high-level, systematic and innovative entrance education projects with distinctive characteristics.

Under the leadership of the Party and government of the college, led by the Youth League Committee and the learning and engineering group of the college, it cooperates with all departments and Party branches to carry out freshmen's entrance education and give full play to the effect of collaborative education. According to abilities and advantages of each department, the Party and government of the college make overall planning and comprehensive project coverage. The role of each department is really brought into play in the daily study, life and management of students, so that students can be more familiar with the development of various work of the college, and can fully feel the care of the college, which also lays the foundation for the future study and life of freshmen. The "five one classroom" of freshmen education has been carried out as a whole, that is, the first ideological and political class for freshmen (Ideological and Political Class), the Party and government team entering the freshmen's dormitory (Dormitory Class), the first class meeting of Counselors and Class Supervisors for freshmen (Class Meeting), the first Party (League) class for freshmen (Party and League class), and the first entry of freshmen into the library (Student Service and Resource Use Class). The college has carried out "Five Series" of freshmen education, namely "A Series of Network Activities", "A Series of Peer Education", "A Series of Class (Branch) Activities", "A Series of Cultural Experience" and "A Series of Knowledge Propaganda". The college will build "Five Teams", namely "New Party Member Service Team", "New Class Assistant Team", "New Peer Navigation Team", "Young Lecturer Team" and "Volunteer Service Team", so as to give full play to the role of young teachers, excellent alumni and senior students as role models and guidance to help the freshmen enter the university smoothly, adapt to university life, improve the quality of life and career planning and so on.

2、 Various forms and means, rich and colorful contents

According to the characteristics of college students in the new era, the college has made full use of the network, new media, online participation and other means favored by students to get closer to students, attract students and solidly carry out freshmen's entrance education.

The series of Micro League Courses launched by the Youth League Committee of the College of Humanities in the new year's summer vacation season focus on the characteristics of the Internet era. With the help of the form of online open courses, they combine text, pictures, videos, live broadcast, and other communication carriers, they are launched among the 2020 freshmen, with wide coverage and strong interaction. In 2020, the youth series of Micro League Courses of Humanities College are divided into three parts: Youth Practice Micro League Course, Youth Life Micro League Course and Youth Traditional Culture Micro League Course, with a total of 6 issues, more than 10 tweets and 6 live broadcast activities. Thus, students can understand the Humanities, learn from our university, pay attention to society, care about the country, and truly realize "Class" education from the perspective of "League".

During the new year's welcome, through counselors, Party member service team, class assistant team and volunteer service team, the college serves every student carefully, so that the freshmen can feel the care of the college and realize service education. On the day before the freshmen report for admission, they arrange the volunteer service team students to put the freshmen's gift bags into the freshmen's dormitory one by one, so as to reduce the freshmen's check-in procedures and shorten the freshmen's check-in process. The class assistant team organizes freshmen to participate in school opening ceremony, school songs and other activities, so that freshmen can integrate into university life as soon as possible and establish a sense of belonging. A series of peer education activities are carried out to provide students with experience and suggestions on career planning, learning planning and life planning by means of "Back to School Appointment Chat", peer forum, organization of watching and defense, and young lecturers entering the branch, so as to make freshmen have more goals, direction and motivation.

Combining the four history education, patriotic and school education and COVID-19 prevention and control topics, the new classes (branches) are widely organized to guide the new students to form "Four Consciousnesses" and strengthen their "Four Self-confidence" through the activities of the first branch meeting, class meeting presentation and collective view, and resolutely achieve "Two Maintenance". Combining with the Implementation Outline of Patriotic Education in the New Era, the patriotic theme education is widely carried out, and the activities of "Watching the National Flag Raising Ceremony" and visiting the school history museum are organized for students, so as to stimulate the young students' patriotism and love for the school, and strengthen their patriotism and honor of the school.

A variety of freshmen cultural festival activities were organized, such as "Maneuvering Cup" Freshmen Debate Competition, "Happy and Warm" Dormitory Decoration Competition, Chinese Traditional Culture Experience Week, Green Concert, etc. All kinds of freshmen cultural activities were held, so that the students of grade 2020 could fully experience the rich and colorful university life, At the same time, it also makes the students who are not familiar with each other get familiar with each other quickly, and condenses the overall strength of the 2020 undergraduate students of the College of Humanities.

Through detailed planning, careful organization and overall arrangement, the College of Humanities systematically promotes freshmen's entrance education, solidly carries out freshmen's entrance education, and strives to achieve full coverage, high quality and high efficiency.

In 2020, the youth series of Micro League Courses of Humanities College were divided into three parts: Youth Practice Micro League Course, Youth Life Micro League Course and Youth Traditional Culture Micro League Course, with a total of 6 issues, more than 10 push and 6 live online activities, so as to realize the participation of all 2020 freshmen. The college made 12 issues about safety knowledge publicity and education on WeChat and achieved good results such as a total reading of nearly 3000 times.

The participation of 2020 freshmen in the "Four Histories" Special Study, the "Patriotic Love School" Theme League Day and the "First League Class" League Branch reached 100%, realizing the full coverage of all 2020 freshmen. Novel Coronavirus Class, New Knowledge Center Class Meeting and Experimental Safety Theme Class Meeting were held in all of the classes. At the same time, each class (Youth League branch) also held Classic Reading, Reading Meetings, Concerts, Cultural Lectures and other related activities in line with their own professional characteristics and class positioning.
