June is the season of dreams. Young people strive for the examination, while the other students rush to the distance again.
On the evening of June 7, "Always Be Young" was held in Xipu campus of Southwest Jiaotong University to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. There was a warm atmosphere. The guests included Shen Huoming, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Southwest Jiaotong University, Gao Pingping, Minister of the Student Affairs Department of the Party Committee, Zhang Junqi, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of Southwest Jiaotong University, Min Guanghui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Distance and Continuing Education, all leaders of the College of Humanities and all teachers of the music department.
After the band's opening performance, all the graduates of 2021 music performance major performed their elaborate programs in various art forms, such as songs, instrumental ensemble, dance, sketch, etc. It created an audio-visual feast and showed four years of growth, which reflected the joy of growth and the sadness of parting, and stirred the heartstrings of teachers and students.
The youth is bright and beautiful, as young and smart as the female chorus "Youth", and as vigorous as the dance "Tangyin". Students will also grow up and lament for the lost time. The sketch "Those things in school" draws an end to the student era with growth and self-responsibility. Youth will eventually go to the distance; the stars and the sea are the four sides of the motherland. In memory of Academician Yuan Longping, the Father of Hybrid Rice, Academician Xia Dezhao, the Leader of Chinese Ophthalmology, and Academician Wu Mengchao, the Father of Hepatobiliary Surgery, the instrumental "Guoshang" ensemble showed sadness. The chorus "Song of Chinese Rejuvenation" directed by Liu Feiyun was majestic and powerful, and the zither ensemble "My Motherland" directed by Liu Rui was magnificent.
The centennial history of the Communist Party of China was vividly reflected in the symphonies of zither, accordion, piano, violin and pipa. The growth and change of teenagers were also shown in the interweaving of singing, applause and instrumental music. Youth and China both fully confirmed the content of the lyrics: "I am still the same young person before whose original heart has never changed because a hundred years is just a test and the goal of a better life continues to achieve."
Finally, with the applause and taking a group photo, the concert came to a successful end, while the generation of youth did not come to an end. After four years of studying in music performance major, the teenagers will take their body and mind fully nurtured by art to go around the world like shining stars. At the moment, we are singing and dancing as we are young. In the future, we will always be young.
