Wang Changcai
Wang Changcai comes from Nanpi, Hebei Province, graduated from Renmin University of China in 2006, where he got his doctor’s degree (Mr. Yu Hong was his supervisor.). His main research focuses on narratology. Now, he is a professor of Chinese Department, doctoral supervisor, member of International Association for Narrative Studies, committee member of Culture and Communication Semiotics Branch Society of Chinese and Foreign Literature and Art Theory Association of China. He published a monograph named Research on Narrative Discourse of Short Stories by Alain Robbe-Grillet. He also published many papers on magazines like Literature and Art Studies, Foreign Literature Review, Foreign Literatures, Luxun Research Monthly, English Studies and so on, part of which have been copied by Renmin University of China and tranfered and excerpted by CUAA. Wang Changcai had an academic visit to the English Department of University of California Berkeley. He hosts or finished many projects like project of National Social Science Fund “Research on unnatural narratology”, project by Ministry of Education “Possibility and limit of visual narrative”, Project supported by the Scientific Research Staring Foundation for the Returned Overseas Chinese Scholars, Ministry of Education “Research on forefront issues of Chinese and western narratology”, and project of Sichuan Provincial Social Planning “Research on hot issues of post-classical narratology”.
