He was honored to be “Excellent Graduate Supervisor” in SWJTU. He was appointed as the chief expert of major projects of National Social Science Fund, the 10th batch of science and technology leader of Sichuan Province, Associate President of Exegetics Research Society, Associate President of Philological Society of Sichuan Province, committee and academic committee member of Sichuan Guo Moruo Research Society. He is also the evaluation expert of China academic degree and graduate education, academic committee member of Tianfu culture research institute, specially-invited expert of National Publishing Convergence Laboratory (Sichuan Xinhua), editorial board member of National Publication Fund major project: Chinese Dictionary (revised), language consultant of major project of National Social Science Fund: Bashu Encyclopedia. 5 national research projects and 6 provincial projects were hosted by Wang Qiming. He posesses 35 published works, including 22 monograph and chief edited ones. Over 150 academic essays by him were published. Among them, over 50 were published in CSSCI, Chinese core periodicals. He won 1 second and 3 third excellent achievement awards of philosophy and social science of the provincial government, 1 Best Book Award of Sichuan Province, and 1 SWJTU significant science and technology achievement prize. He was invited to give lectures and do academic exchanges in many famous colleges like Taiwan University, National Chengchi University, National Kaohsiung Normal University, Chia Nan University of Pharmacy & Science, National University of Tainan, City University of Hong Kong, Education University of Hong Kong, University of Wisconsin Madison, University of California, Davis, Newcastle University, Eotvos Lorand University, Hunter Institute, University of British Columbia, UBC, etc. One of his student’s master dissertation won the provincial best dessertation prize, and 6 won the universities’ excellent dessertation prize. His research orientation includes Chinese philology, classical philology, editing and publishing.
